Dhami pitches development agenda in Bihar

Dhami takes Uttarakhand model to Bihar, highlights growth and good governance

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami began his campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections on Friday, highlighting the development work and governance reforms of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Speaking at multiple rallies, Dhami urged voters to trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for a new phase of growth and stability in Bihar.

Dhami addressed election gatherings in Siwan, Goriakothi, and Warsaliganj constituencies. He was joined by several BJP leaders and candidates, including Aruna Devi, Deveshkant Singh, and Bihar Cabinet Minister Mangal Pandey. The Chief Minister focused on how the NDA’s policies have changed the lives of common people through better infrastructure, welfare programs, and improved governance.

During his speeches, Dhami said the NDA government had made visible progress in various sectors, from roads and housing to healthcare and education. He told the crowd that the party’s vision is not only to win elections but also to ensure every citizen enjoys the benefits of development. “If the NDA returns to power, Bihar will see a new era of progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Dhami said.

Highlighting welfare schemes and women’s empowerment

Dhami gave several examples of the NDA government’s welfare achievements. He mentioned that more than 8.5 crore people in Bihar have benefited from the free ration program under the central government’s food security initiatives. He also said that around 50 lakh families have received permanent houses under various housing schemes, ensuring that even the poorest citizens now have a roof over their heads.

Talking about women’s empowerment, Dhami praised the government’s initiatives that provide financial assistance and livelihood support to women across the state. According to him, more than 75 lakh women have received financial aid through these programs, helping them become self-reliant and confident. He added that this focus on women’s welfare was a sign of the NDA’s inclusive approach to governance.

Dhami also highlighted major improvements in basic amenities such as electricity, tap water, and sanitation. He noted that many families who once lived without basic facilities now enjoy better living standards because of the central government’s efforts. He said this transformation has been possible due to the commitment of the Modi government to reach the last person in the queue.

The Chief Minister further spoke about the importance of transparent and disciplined governance. Referring to the reforms in Uttarakhand, Dhami said his government had passed key laws like the Anti-Cheating Act, Anti-Conversion Act, and Anti-Riot Act. These, he explained, were steps to ensure fairness, order, and accountability in administration. He claimed that similar principles of good governance could bring positive change in Bihar as well.

Meeting leaders and spreading the development message

Dhami’s visit to Bihar was well-received by BJP workers and leaders, who gave him a warm welcome. The campaign events saw enthusiastic participation from the public and party supporters. Many local residents gathered in large numbers to hear Dhami speak about his experiences in Uttarakhand and how the same development model could be implemented in Bihar.

Throughout his campaign, Dhami also met several senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and allied parties. Among them were Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, and Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur. Their presence added strength to the NDA’s campaign efforts in the state.

In his interactions with party members, Dhami emphasized teamwork and discipline as key to political success. He said that strong coordination among party leaders at all levels would help convey the NDA’s vision of “development for all” to every voter in Bihar. Dhami also encouraged local workers to engage directly with the people and share real examples of progress achieved under the Modi government.

Dhami repeatedly stressed that the NDA’s goal was not just political victory but social transformation. He reminded people that Bihar had already made significant improvements in recent years due to the central government’s schemes. However, he said more work remained to be done to make the state self-reliant and prosperous. He urged voters to continue supporting the NDA for continued development and reform.

The Chief Minister ended his campaign day with a message of optimism and unity. “We are moving towards a stronger, self-reliant India. Bihar’s development is an important part of that journey. Together, we can ensure that progress reaches every home and every village,” Dhami said.

Dhami’s speeches in Bihar reflected his efforts to blend his experiences from Uttarakhand with the vision of national progress championed by Prime Minister Modi. His emphasis on governance reforms, welfare programs, and inclusive development set the tone for what could become a central theme of the NDA’s campaign in Bihar in the weeks ahead.
